Can from Hops & Bottles. Labelled as "Release 1.0" and at 8%. Orange golden pour , small tight head. Aroma and taste are very subdued, dry, chalky tropical essence.

Just slightly hazy in appearance with a dissipating foam in the Affligem chalice. Aroma of pine, green melon, and resins. Harsh feeling in the mouth with prickly carbonation and astringency right on the tongue. Citrus bite, and really hot.
Starts with a pleasant melon flavor with grapefruit shading, but it's just too overly acidic. Leaves the tongue tingling. From the 16 oz can purchased from Best Damn mailorder delivery.

Canned 11/20/19
Appearance - Pours hazy and light, mellow orange in color with an off-white head. Fair retention before settling to a thin, broken layer of surface suds and a razor thin ring around the edge of the glass. Lacing is decent, with some broken webbing teetering off into small spots and patches.
Smell - Juicy citrus, pineapple and a vague hint of must.
Taste - Mellowed but juicy hoppiness in the form of guava, hint of pineapple, hint of orange juice and backed by a very faint trace of wood or cardboard.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker serves to provide an easy finish.
Overall - Really surprised by the date on this since I hadn't noticed it before at my local bottle shop. It's held up okay with a little over 5 months of age, though it would have been nice to try it at 5 weeks instead. It's still tasty, though a tad off in some respects. I would drink more, but not at $6 a can.

Glass: Firestone 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $4.79
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 10, 2020
Consumed: Jan. 11, 2020
Misc.: Canned on Nov. 29, 2019
Picked this up with four other singles and a Modern Times 4-pack at Windmill Farms. Meant to get it the last time I was at Windmill Farms, but I grabbed four others and forgot about it. Obviously Revision kills the hazy IPA style, so I was looking forward to this one. Can label read, “A rotating cast of hop characters infuse this beer with tons of lupulin goodness supported by a soft, feathery body. This edition highlighting Simcoe, CTZ and Cascade.” Nice.
Poured a medium yellow murky color with three fingers of frothy white head. Could see some bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding uneven foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Simcoe, dank resin, pine, Cascade, onion, papaya, pineapple and grapefruit rind. About the same from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted more balanced than the nose. In order got Columbus, pine, Cascade, dank resin, black pepper, wood, Simcoe, papaya, onion and pineapple. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Outstanding overall, but was hoping for more. (Overall - 4.00)

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on December 29, 2019. A rotating cast of hop characters infuse this beer with lots of lupulin goodness supported by a soft, pillowy body. This edition was hopped with Simcoe, CTZ and Cascade.

Served cold, hazy orange with lots of head lacing...the nose pops with bright juicy citrus and tropical fruits...grapefruit is primary, lots of orange, soft mango and papaya...taste follows, juicy fruit flesh, soft tropical notes, bright with a touch of an herbal/green finish with a flash of bitterness...overall a very good hazy IPA!

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves some spotty lacing.
S: Resinous pine, herbal notes, slightly floral, candied citrus, tropical and stone fruit, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Herbal, kinda eucalyptus and mint thing going on, spicy resinous pine, citrus, orange, lemon, and a touch of grapefruit, tropical and stone fruit, apricot, passion fruit, peach, mango, melon, and a touch of cherry, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium full to full body, somewhere between mild and moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Feels like a West Coast DIPA softened up into kind of a NE style. Not bad, but I'm not crazy about it. Probably would have liked it better as a straight forward DIPA.

Cool looking can.
Pours a murky straw color.
Whiffs of melon, light pineapple and pine.
Tastes of citrus splash and lingering grapefruit rind aftertaste. Definitely on the hoppy side but a nice malt sweetness rounds it out.
Overall this was a very nice DIPA though it’s a NE style hazy DIPA it was closer to a WC DIPA and not muddled in haziness. Nicely done.
