Quenching, Mexican-style lager with a touch of malt character and a whisper of maize. Go ahead and add that squeeze of lime and a dash of salt if you want. We are craft, not craftholes.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American Light Lager
Glass: North Park 16-oz. Willi Becher glass
Price: $2.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: June 11, 2021
Consumed: July 16, 2021
Misc.: Canned on May 26, 2021
Went to Windmill Farms to grab some stuff for Chad and $113 later I had way too much beer. Had been waiting for this Revision beer (not as much as RBL) to hit the San Diego market and finally it is. Not too bad of a price either ($2.29) at Windmill Farms. Revision’s website called “A Quenching, Mexican-style lager with a touch of malt character and a whisper of maize. Go ahead and add that squeeze of lime and a dash of salt if you want. We are craft, not craftholes.”
Poured a pale-to-medium yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom and along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy, spotty lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled lime zest, corn, wet grass, white bread, grain and some earthy malt. Not quite as good going down. Maybe better out of the can though. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted just about as good as the nose. Got corn, lime zest, wet grass, white bread, grain, earthy malt, light vegetable and hints of skunk. (Taste - 4.25)
Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, clean finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Just about as good as I hoped. I can’t believe I’m saying this but Revision does better lagers than hazy IPAs. (Overall - 4.50)

It’s fine, you know? Like, it’s all Mexican Lager and stuff. And it does the trick like not swallowing the worm when you smash a bottle of tequila. Yeah... This one isn’t “donkey show” good, but I’m still well content.
Peace!

a delicious mexican lager here, perfect drinker for a hot day, plenty of flavor for the style, well refined, very crisp and drinkable. i have not been too stoked on the lighter stuff and the lager types from these guys so far, its the hoppy stuff that i love, but this changes that, and now they have a needed crusher in their lineup. i enjoyed this poolside yesterday while the outside temperature was well over 100 degrees, and it really hit the mark ice cold from the cooler. its got a little bit of malt character to it, still very pale, but a touch of an almost european pils grain in here, lightly hopped, noble id guess, but there is a light citrus note here as well from the hops on the swallow, all very clean. the lager yeast doesnt bring a ton of flavor, but thats okay because it dries this out and gives enough to keep this very balanced. very snappy to drink, highly carbonated, refreshing, and well made overall, and i am wishing now that i got the four pack instead of just the single can. its awesome that these guys have this in their lineup now, i hope it sticks around, the perfect beer for peak summer outdoor drinking, still crafty, but light and clean and a total crowd pleaser.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Pale, clear golden, small foamy head. Full bready, malty, grainy aroma. Taste is also all about the grain bill, if any adjuncts are in here, they're not readily apparent. Full bodied and creamy, almost mouth coating. Easy to drink and quite refreshing.
