Canned on 10/5/21; consumed on 10/21/21

Pours a hazy golden orange body capped with multiple fingers of fluffy, white foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of rocky cap, moderate, frothy collar, and a myriad thin, webby sudsing caked to the walls of the glass.

Aroma enmeshes notes of melon with dense orange pulp as slick, grassy resins enhance papaya over the middle; peppery, bready malts dominate the back end, in tune seeing an underripe dankness closing the bouquet.

Taste opens with grassy hop overtones evolving to oily lemon rind and citric tangerine over time; grapefruit melds into the mid-palate as guava and papaya resins focus a sweetness on the back end of the profile.

Mouthfeel offers a medium-light body with a fluffy, moderate carbonation; weighty resins mask a subtle bitterness while building to a concentrated, oily peak over the mid-palate, eventually returning to a wispy hop twang on the back end, along with a semi-bright close.

Sleek resins, steady waves of tropical fruits, and consistently intriguing textures majantian a fine balance of novel appeal and core focus; while far from revelatory, it is soft, nuanced, and well-structured.

Appearance - Pours murky dark yellowish grapefruit juice color with nice thick white head with great retention. Lots of lacing all around the glass.

Aroma - Ripe melon, tangerine, passionfruit, some light mint, and pine.

Taste - Getting bitter grapefruit, citrus peel, pine, the tropical fruit in the nose is dominated by grapefruit and pine.

Feel - Medium bodied good carbonation slightly dry finish.

Overall - Solid IPA drastic difference in the nose and the taste for me. The mint was a nice touch in the aroma. The bitter hoppy taste is very nice as well.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hints of citrus peel and touch of pine. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus peel presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer and worth a try.

“A bright and soft NE IPA packed with generous amounts of Citra hops.”

Seemed to be the most popular offering at the brewery judging by the number of glasses filled with this bright yellow super thick liquid. This is obviously delicious since it’s brewed with Citra but I actually preferred Karate in the Garage. This is a bit one-sided and a tad too bitter. Still great nonetheless.
