Bit of a smaller review then normal on this one, thumb worth of head that laced but didn't stick around and the carbonation is awfully low for a tripel. Has a rose and orange tinge, like they mixed rosé with beer. Smells, well more like wine then beer. Grape dominated on the nose with berries and a tinge of lemon, and a do catch a small malt note, way in the back. It's taste is, unsurprisingly like wine. I mean, this isn't quite sweet enough for a rosé, but it's got that acidic chardonnay snap at the end. Really the only beer aspect here is the yeast which brings a berry sweetness to it, other then that it's like I'm drinking sparkling wine. Aftertaste is the same, mild fruity wine and really drinks like a spring wine.
It's not bad, but why wouldn't I just drink wine is my question, and the answer here is because you want a slightly carbonated, milder rosé, and that's not a good answer. This is a pass, unless you are a wine connoisseur.

Clear rose tinted gold. Moderate head settles to a substantial cap. Lots of lace along the way. A good looking beer. Fruit nose, grapes I think -- which is uncommon. Smells/drinks like an Asti style wine, and yeah, shows Belgian characteristics, too. Some yeast and malt, generally sweet (like a Chimay, Aventinus) with a slightly dry finish. You can feel that 9.4% in pretty short order.
Interesting enough. A little too sweet for me. Might be of curiosity to Chimay drinkers.
Turned out to be pretty nice with some brie, goat cheese, crackers.
