*Note this beer isn't retired - my review is for the 2021 version using Strata hops

Look: Slightly hazy light orange with a foamy pure white head that billows up and settles to a pillow, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Ruby red grapefruit, diesel terpenes, mandarins, lemon-lime, light malt, some grass, and freshly cut Cannabis flowers
Taste: Follows nose and starts with a huge orange and grapefruit punch which is immediately followed by waves of lemon-lime, dank herb, and light berry notes. Raw, pithy citrus fruit and rind hold down the middle along with some malt and closes with more citrus and diesel, along with a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, medium-high carbonation, and noticeably dry finish (medium strength) on the finish
Overall: This is a very delicious beer. I’m a huge fan Strata hop fan and loved all the fresh hop beers I tried last year that utilized them so was pumped when I found this as I’d heard good things. The hearsay is true – this is a dank and citrus bomb and a well-made fresh hop IPA that showcases the hop varietal well. Tasty and recommended. Cheers Level

Beer I'm reviewing actually says "Fresh-Hop India Pale Ale" on it, but it's a clear fresh hop IPA at 6.2% abv, so I suspect it's the same beer with a slightly different label. 16oz can served in Pint Defiance glass. Dated 08/27/2021.

Pours clear honey golden with a big fluffy head that collapses to a lacy curtain and a thin sheet along the surface. Smell is moderate grainy sweetness and clear but not powerful hop flower aroma. Resin and greens, maybe some lemon zest.

Taste is nice. Grainy/honey sweetness sticks around, first wave is floral juicy hoppiness and second wave is bitter resinous goodness.

Mouthfeel is medium to light, maybe slightly undercarbonated but nothing too disappointing. Overall, really enjoying this.

draught
Thick creamy, tiny bubbled, pure white head. Nearly clear medium golden orange. Spice tinged caramel, ginger & malt aroma. Slight citrus type bite but without much actual citrus flavor, with some good maltiness and a citrusy finish.

Canned 8/25/20. Aggressive pour in an imperial pint nonic. Thicker head, slow fading. Light aroma, not distinguished. Pleasant hoppiness, not overly bitter. Solid base. We like this one, one of the better ones for this FH season. I'd seek it out.

16oz can (dated 8/25/20) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a darkly hazy orange-amber color with 3/4 inch of white head that had low retention and lacing.

Hop-forward aroma, with low malt/grain.

Fairly similar on the tongue, with some nice bitterness on the finish.

The body was medium, maybe a slight touch fuller.

Drinkability was very nice, having a couple would be no chore.

Overall, a pretty nice brew. Worth grabbing if you see it.
