Look: Nearly clear red-amber with a nicely formed off-white head that settles to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Warm bread, toffee, fruity esters – apples mainly, earthy hops, some caramel, floral hop notes, and toasted bread crust
Taste: Earthy and floral hops start it off and quickly followed by rich, bready malt notes, toffee, and fruity esters. Toasted cereal grains, warm bread crust, and caramel appear in the middle and closes with another hit of floral and earthy hops
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, clean throughout, and fairly soft on the finish
Overall: This is tasty and definitely exceeding my expectations. I like what these folks do and also big their video game theme since I grew up a gamer kid in the late 80’s/early 90’s but have only been blown away from time-to-time with their offerings and now can add this one to that list. An awesome take on an English Bitter – one of my favorite styles and dare I say, borderline flawless in my opinion
