no clue what the hops are in here, but this one is a treat, i love this time of year, and its so cool to see all these northwest breweries using fresh hops in styles that arent ipa, i have begged for this forever, and my wish seems to finally be granted. this one presents itself as well made but borderline irrelevant american adjunct lager, to me its almost corny, dusty, minimal, and mostly yeast driven, and in the nose at least, there really arent any hops happening, this doesnt smell hoppy to me, let alone wet hopped, but it is in fact there in the flavor, subtle as it may be at first. this has some light citrus to it, an herbal tea layer, maybe some cut and dried flowers, not quite summery, but this by no measure is hoppy in the traditional sense, not bitter, not oily, not dank, no signs of wet hops really, how much could they really have used if generic lager yeast and this simple malt profile are out in front of the hops? that said, its tasty, well made, and somewhat more unique than the classic yellow beer, but this isnt quite special, not exactly as crafty and hop forward and interesting as expected, and while its nice beer, im not sure its a great expression of fresh hops in any way, maybe only as it warms and super late, but i thought this would pop a little more, and im sorry it doesnt. still, quality beer, and if this is where heady craft is going im pretty fine with it, cool ingredients, drinkable beer, mass appeal, its all good. need to get my lips on a whole lot more from level...
