Look: Burnt orange with a reddish tint and my pour quickly initiates a lofty off-white head to form and slowly settle to a lid, leaving sheets of lacing behind
Aroma: Floral hops, freshly baked bread, earthiness, apple skins, lightly toasted grains, and citrus notes
Taste: Earthy notes and bready malt strike first out of the gate and develop depth as some light but pithy citrus weaves in to join. Layers of bread and toasted grains shine in the middle, along with some apple skins and floral, citrus, and earthy hops are ever-present through the middle and close it out as well
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean on the finish with just a kiss of dryness from the earthy component
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. Another winner in this series and another sucker style for me, and ESB, so therefore an easy purchase – again. It is a well-rounded, delicious, and well-crafted ESB that checks all the style boxes for me and would easily warrant another purchase and recommendation
