On tap at brewery:
A lightly gazed pale yellow with a nice white head. Head remained with half coverage and a medium thick colar. Nice initial lacing that barely spotted the lower parts of the glass.
A corn and earthy herbal note emanate ascscents from the glass; I’m getting some popcorn - plain with no buttery notes (like I do when I think there’s diacetyl).
After tasting, I think that “herbal note” might be a little cattiness I get in the flavor. On my palate, it is a mild reminder of skunkiness, but not quite. Luckily a more distinctive lemony hop note grabs the second half of the beer. Not an overly crisp beer, it does have a big hop profile and is actually somewhat “soft” despite decent carbonation.
The cattiness throws me just a little. I might think this is bordering or more of an “India Pale Lager” with the hoppiness.
