Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass. Canned March 12th 2019.
Billowing soft forming head, with a bleach white appearance and bath bubble like foam of three fingers tall. Big growing appearance as more beer is poured. The body appearance is opaque flirting with NE turbid qualities but has a much more lemon shine to it which is really appealing. Very neat play of styles here appearance wise.
Interesting hop forward aroma. Big earthy tones with touches of herbal spice but more dank quality. Big amounts of almost muddy earthen depth as well. Not much lager character as the hops seem to dominate, but overal pretty solid.
Palate takes a much different road. Faint hints of tropical hop flavors on first sip. Spicy aftertaste but also a bit of prickly texture. Hints a bit dry but not that clean finishing for a lager. Still the hop profile is quite tasty, with more hints of pineapple and mixing green herbs playing around.
Interesting take on an IPL but this bends more in IPA quality, but nicely.
