First sip from the can (dated 1 month prior)...pithy, bitter orange...flagrant, floral: rosemary lemon. It's a departure from the pureed peach and hemp granola bowl with a glass of sweet nectarine I had on tap at the brewery; I await for the sunnier tropicalia to develop. A few more sips, and it's nothing like the pleasant aroma of pineapple, passionfruit, and peach. The sweet afterglow can only combat the chalky, medicinal feel for so long. I wait for it to warm, 15 minutes or so, and a much softer sweetness greets me at first followed by a slightly sweet acridity of burnt pecan shells. I would reconsider this beer again based in part because of the on-site sampling.

Well balanced NEIPA. Orange and grapefruit nose. Taste follows the nose hoppy on the finish. Definitely a top quality brew.

A: Pours a very hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate medium yellow + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy foamy light beige head that reduces to a medium sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, tropical/mango, and pine hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + oat malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there is a just shy of moderate flavor of biscuit + oat malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, tropical/mango, and pine hops which imparts a light to moderate amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving a lingering citrus + pine hop flavor.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable with a juicy hop presence and a pleasant mouthfeel.

A: The beer is quite hazy yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that settled down rather quickly, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a collar consisting of medium-sized bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of orange and grapefruit citrus are present in the nose along with some hints of pine.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of citrusy hops along with a touch of pine and bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and quite juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that the juicy mouthfeel was this beer's strongest attribute.

Can purchased at City Beer Hall in Albany, NY.
This one pours a fairly hazy orange color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells like melon and orange, with a big grassy bitterness, and some pine.
This is yet another really solid West Kill beer. There's melon, grapefruit, and orange all up in this, providing a big juiciness, but also providing a touch of rindy and grassy bitterness. It's a really well constructed IPA.
This is medium bodied, and pretty creamy, with a good level of drinkability, and a typical level of carbonation.
I continue to be really impressed by West Kill.

Delicious IPA that is a perfect balance of not too bitter not too sweet. I must admit this is a good beer but it's not the type of beer that blows me away personally. I REALLY love the hazy / juicy Tree House beers but this was probably similar to the Maine Beer Company Lunch I tried yesterday but just a tad sweeter. Clearer than beers I usually like. Not as sweet as beers I usually like. But I have to give credit to where credit is due, a good beer.
