Visiting Pilsner Urquell's underground cellars and tasting their original recipe in pitch-lined oak barrels will leave an impression like no other beer experience can. Years can drift by and you will still remember the cellar's damp, bitter cold. You will remember the rows and rows of majestic barrels lining its hallowed walls. Most importantly, you will remember how tasting the original pilsner directly from one of these hand-crafted vessels reminded you of why you fell in love with beer in the first place. This is the experience we drew from when making Sklepník Old Pilsen Style Lager. We can only aspire to spark a similar passion with our humble rendition. Na zdraví!

The “Stainless Edition” of this lager was fermented then cold conditioned in stainless fermentation tanks for 7 weeks. Triple decoction mash. Naturally carbonated. Unfiltered.

I had this on draft 7/6/23 @ the Beer Temple.

Semi-opaque dull orange appearance.

Nice white head; frothy, tree-rung lace remained.

Sweet corn & fresh cream notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Sweet corn & fresh cream flavors up front; dry wheat notes on the finish.

A bit dry, but good.

Can: Poured a clear golden color larger with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal and light residual sugar with some light herbal hops notes. Taste is an easy drinking mix of cereal and light residual sugar with some herbal hops notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well made lager with nice drinkability.

355ml can served in a small dimpled stein. Packaged 22/JUNE/2022. Received from @coronaeus in a retry box for a LIF associated with NBS BIF #14.

Pours clear light amber with a medium sized head that settles into a nice thick dusting and a healthy ring. Smell is grassy and sweet bready/grainy notes.

Taste is dominated by strong bitter grassy notes, a fairly strong floral undertone, with a really nice bready backbone.

Mouthfeel is medium, maybe a little slick. Overall, this is a really nice beer.

Shining light gold body, with some haze, capped by a cloud white head that fizzles out quickly.
Aromas of fresh lemon zest, cereal, cracker maltiness. Mild
Hops are prominent, in bitterness and slightly less so in flavour, of lemon zest again, a dash of spice and pine; very clean bitterness, supporting a super dry finish; really the whole flavour profile is beautifully pure and crisp, like the freshest spring water; malt flavour is like fresh cracked barley (I imagine), it's so light and unadulterated. Medium body and carbonation.

Absolutely enjoyed the purity of flavour and crisp feel, though the malt is pronounced than I'd have expected. Very refined. I could make this a go-to summer beer.
