Had this beer at the brewery on tap. The look was a cloudy orange with a soft white head. Smell was tropical, lots of pineapple and fruit with a little pine and some spice. The taste was a bit sweet up front but the rye then becomes noticeable on the backend adding a little bitterness. This had a nice medium mouthfeel. Overall I really liked this one and would definitely get it again.

32oz Crowler

More Brewing - Villa Park, IL
Chemical Connection is one of those opaque NEIPA lookin' concoctions, with that said, it glows. Murky pineapple juice is the look. A sliky off white head conjures itself on the pour and grows to a finger in height, it rather quickly fades to a cap. Chunky drink lines get left after each drink. It's a good looking beer relatively speaking.
The nose is big Juicy Fruit gum right from the get go. It's very herbal as well, not quite dank. Dried apricot and dried papaya show themselves aggressively. Those things all stand out but there is a hodgepodge of generic tropical fruits as well. The rye adds a bit of a zing in the malt backbone along with sugar cookie sweetness.
Generic tropical fruits get it moving. The Juicy Fruit gum is big and takes over the middle. Big notes of dried apricot and papaya open up on the back half and push through the finish with a flash of dense herbals. It's mostly sugar cookie sweetness for the malt base but the rye does add some zip, basically the beer tastes exactly as it smells. This beer is bright and interesting, though a little green it seems.
The body sits firmly in the moderate range. It's effervescent bordering on prickly. It's a little weighty but there's not a great deal of body. The finish dries up nicely and accentuates the soft bitterness. I'm pretty sure I can put away 32ozs of this stuff in a sitting.
Chemical Connection is a solid beer from More Brewing. It's bright and vibrant, though a little green. Big tropical and Juicy Fruit notes and flavors. The mouthfeel could be ironed out a bit but I could easily drink a lot in a sitting. I'd order this at the bar again but probably not get another crowler.

Opaque mango juice with a fluffy white foam dying to nothing.
Smell is dank and sweet with vanilla and pineapple.
Taste brings orange, bitter pine, and pineapple cream over a thin body, sharp feel and dry finish.

From 2 week old can into teku glass.
Deep yellow-orange cloudy/opaque appearance with a good bit of foam head upon pour. Quite a bit of sediment also from the can. My guess is these are some of the unfiltered hops or pellets coming through. A bit unappealing and was sure not to drink too fast otherwise might have gulped them down.
Overall, my favorite More beer out of the 5 New England/DDH/hazy IPAs they've released so far. Very tropical citrus aroma what that's present in the taste. The rye is also noticeable because it adds just the right amount of bitterness to round out the beer. Maybe not the traditional after taste for an NE style IPA, but it's still a damn good beer.

Canned July 2017; drank 7/19/17 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/yellow appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice bright white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Mango, sweet watermelon & dry grass notes in the nose.
Soft, medium mouthfeel.
Banana, mango & mild cane sugar flavors up front; dry, mildly bitter grass notes on the finish.
Finally an above average More beer, easily the best of the 3; this is enjoyable & nicely balanced. It's not going to blow anyone's mind but I'd have another.
