Transforming the common and popular kettle sour ale into something deeper, more lush and creamy, More Brewing doesn't shy away from fruit or sweetness to give their beer an almost health food component.
Pouring a rusty mauve with a heavy haze, Razzimus Prime builds a part frothy, part fizzy foam ahead of a juicy and radiant scent of branch-ripe raspberries, cream, citrus and wine. Sweet once on the tongue, soothing flavors of vanilla, cereal and shortcake coat the tongue.
As its creamy sweetness takes hold, a rise of tartness floods the middle palate to erase all thirst. Citrusy with lemon and lime, then tangy with white grape, gooseberry and passionfruit, the balance quickly shifts toward acidity. Smooth with a creamy and tart interplay, sour candies come into play before a brisk and bountiful vinous taste rounds out the session.
Medium bodied but fuller for sour ale, the raspberries remain front and center with more of a smoothie-like taste than anything cobbler-like or pastry. It's a refreshing session that leads to a quick finish and a linger of light and tangy sorbet.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at More Brewing Co. on November 15, 2019. Fruited kettle sour with loads of raspberry which add a deep red color and a touch of sweetness that's balanced by a beautiful, tart finish.

Had on tap. Smoothie style pinkish red with a pink collar. Smell has plenty of fresh raspberry with mild sweetness and sourness. Taste also features tons of raspberry fruit, skin, tartness and sweet juiciness, great fruit depth. Fruit is tart, grainy, and lush. A raspberry smoothie wild ale
