Appearance - The stout was black with a slight red tint.
Smell - Tart cherry was clearly a part of this sour, but it was obviously not an off-smelling tart cherry.
Taste - There was quite a bit of tart cherries in the initial taste. The tartness did not act like off/infected flavors. With the cherry came nice dry Baker’s chocolate notes. Both taste notes were able to linger into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - With light carbonation, there was a smoothness that reminded me of a milk stout.
Overall - I am not sure about the bad scores on this one. I enjoyed it.

Had on tap. Midnight black with hint of brown held up to the light with a brown head. Candy cherry, semi-sweet chocolate, and vanilla aromas, sweet. Cherry tastes like cough syrup dropped into a bath of fudge, vanilla, malt and slight booze. Give me the bath, hold the cherry. Feel is sickly sweet, fudgy, viscous, boozy, and slightly cloying. Tasted in a snifter from draft at More Brewing Co on January 4, 2020. Imperial stout brewed with chocolate, cherry and vanilla. Better as it warms up a little.
