Named to honor the home of our newest facility, this German-style lager is brewed with our soft water and some of our favorite German malts and hops, then lagered in our horizontal tank. An extremely soft mouthfeel with a pleasant malt profile and hints of noble hops, then ends in an ever so smooth finish.

A clear gold color. Initial two-inch white head that reduced quickly. No lace.
Aroma of sweet malt, floral hops, a bit of citrus.
Taste of saltine crackers without the salt, a little lemon, and a floral hop finish.
Soft mouthfeel, a bit sweeter than I anticipated.

Released Fall 2023; drank 11/21/23 @ the Yarchives.

See-through pale yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a small white head; decent lacing remained.

Sweet corn, wheat bread & faint lemon notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Sweet corn, honeyed wheat bread & faint lemon peel flavors.

Too sweet, but it's not too bad.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, light golden color with a massive white head that lingers. SRM of 6. (4.25)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of pale malt, bread malts, some slight earthy Munich character, slightly floral. Some yeast as well. Rounded. (4.25)

Flavor: Strong flavors of lemon citrus and floral hops. Some pale cracker and bread malts follow. Some yeast within. Finishes dry. (4.25)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Fluffy and soft. Some light citrus/floral lingers. (4.25)

Compared to New Glarus Two Women Lager 10/12/22: Pours a lighter color, stronger aromas. More citrus and flower. Less yeast and fruit. More bready, soft, dry.

Compared to Fair State Side Pull 11/2022: Pours similar, similar aromas. More honey flavor. Less pale bread and yeast. More smooth and sweeter.

Compared to Bad Weather Helles 11/2022: Pours similar. Similar aromas. More yeast and pale bread malt. Less earthy honey and biscuit malt. Lighter, yeastier, and cleaner.

Overall: Quite a surprisingly flavorful Helles. As others have said it leans floral and citrusy and hoppy. Some authentic earthy Munich malt flavors, with a fluffy and soft, dry body though which helps it. Almost like a German pilsner in terms of hoppiness, but the bitterness is not there. (Rating: 4,25)

Took notes on this a month ago, but since there is no date on the can anyway...

16 ounce can poured into my tall Becher.

L -- Clear, pale gold with a dense, creamy head that holds up well (previous pours yielded a sudsy head that broke up slowly).

S -- Light DMS, herbal hops up front and light, doughy malts & yeast.

T -- Bitter, herbal hops up front, lightest of bready and crackery malts in tow. Finishes with a touch of citrus and herbal hops that follow into the finish and aftertaste. Some lingering breadiness in the aftertaste.

M -- Mouthfeel is soft to lightly creamy, finishing lightly crisp with a light body.

O -- A pretty easy dinker, if almost a little too mundane and heavy on hop emphasis to-style. The doughy breadiness has me wanting more of that character. Highly drinkable, but just a little thin in malts all around.

16 oz can into a pint glass. Clear pale golden color with a large frothy white head. Strong floral scents, hops and hay, along with some mild toasted grain. Taste is a little underwhelming compared to the nose. Some mild lemon citrus to go with faint doughy malt and floral hops. Medium-light bodied with some carbonation.

Nice clean Helles...

Well balanced... noble hops are prevalent..

A little grainy but not overly so...

I would love to have this on tap as I don't know how old this is.

I would definitely order this if I saw it..

No canning date; consumed on 12/15/20

Pours a crystal-clear pale straw body capped with multiples fingers of rocky, soapy, white foam; solid head retention leaves a slight, chunky cap, a bubbly, frothy collar, and gobs of webby, soapy lacing clinging to the walls of the glass.

Aroma opens with floral hops coursing through notes of fresh hay and accents of greener grass as cereal grain develops steadily; lemon zest pairs with a pillowy minerality over the middle before touches of honeysuckle and lightly-toasted bread crust show a firmer malt profile to close.

Taste brings forth honeysuckle and fresh grass atop a delicate, flaky malt undertone upfront; lemon zest offers an immediate kick well-attenuated citric tones to doughy yeast over the mid-palate as a tinge of minerality opens to white bread and straw on the back end, and with a continued citric influence through the finish.

Mouthfeel features a light body and a carbonation on the higher end of moderate, peaking with a bright crispness over the mid-palate and eventually easing to a concentrated grit extending along the back end; a flaky malt texture guides toward a predominantly clean, easy finish.

An exceptionally light, airy Helles (even for the style) surprising with an abundance of flavor pulled in equal parts from crisp malt and bright hops, bringing definition to a lager presenting almost too fine to expect much; an excellent quencher first and foremost, with the rounded character a supportive bonus to the overall quality of the brew.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that left a patch of bubbles in the center, a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing on the surface in between.
S: Light aromas of bready malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has light to moderate flavors of bready malts and hints of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer was very easy to drink - while the malts stood out in the smell and taste there was just enough in the way of underlying hops to mask any sweetness.

Had this on tap at More in Villa Park. Wanted something lighter after playing golf. This was light and crisp and had a more yeaster flavor than I expected. Overall it was fine.
