16 ounce can, label says 14% ABV. No dating I noticed on the can or label. Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. Small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like strawberries, vanilla, coconut, chocolate, roasted malt and some coffee. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark bread and molasses flavors noticeable too. Strawberry stands out a little more compared to the other flavors. Definitely a pastry stout, but it doesn't go overboard with the sweetness. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Doesn't seem like it's 14% ABV. Thought this was a good overall beer, worth picking up especially if you like imperial pastry stouts!

The pour is used oil black with a thin dark brown head. No lacing.
The taste matches the listed adjuncts quite well; strawberry forward, chocolate (not a stretch for a good stout) and vanilla rides along. All of these are very present, but I don’t get coconut.
The feel is viscous, melted ice cream came to mind. No spoon was required though.
OA, actually quite good, for a pastry stout. But it’s restrained in the sweetness, which makes me happy but might disappoint someone looking for a really sweet stout.

As kids we are afraid to give up our childish treats as we grow older and more mature. But I've got good news for by 10-year old self- it just gets better. More Brewing rolls the flavors of neapolitan ice cream into imperial stout to give the 5th grader in me nothing to worry about.

Jet black and pouring onyx-like, the sparsely headed Double Rainbow Henna swoons the senses with deep roast espresso, cocoa and cream piled high with milk chocolate, vanilla and strawberry along with that boozy desert cocktail scent. Decadent sweetness seems of molasses, baker's chocolate, sweetened coconut and vanilla cream with deep affogato character ahead of the swirling blend of ice cream flavor. Tailing espresso bitterness buckles with bourbon roasted char and carbonized sugars for a deeply savory, warming and fruity finish.

Full bodied, creamy and simply enormous in flavor, the can may look like a single serve size, but it's really a split among three or four of your favorite pastry stout lovers.

Pours as black as a moonless night with a short-lived mahogany head. No lacing. Aroma is faint, I can make out the strawberries and slight coconut. Flavor is bolder, chocolate joins the mix, some vanilla in the finish. Very sweet. Feel is thick, low carbonation. Overall, delicious but 16 ounces a bit much.

16oz can. No dating information found. Label has this beer at 14% ABV.
Black colored body. One finger of brown head but this quickly dissipates, leaving a minor surface storm and thin ring. No lacing but has a left behind sheen on the glass.
Aroma of chocolate and strawberry, with light touches of vanilla and coconut, along with roasted malts.
Taste is sweet and slightly earthy. Flavors of chocolate and vanilla, along with roasted malts provide a base. The strawberry flavor is lighter and sits above the earthy bits, while the coconut provides substance. Stays sweet in the aftertaste with all the flavors, together with a presence from the higher alcohol component.
More than medium mouthfeel. Some stickiness. Higher ABV% is balanced by all the sweeter parts. Low carbonation.
The different flavors are integrated together well, and although quite sweet, the earthiness prevails.

Thanks to whomever sent this16 oz. can to me – my house is being remodeled & in its current state of disaster my detailed records are inaccessible. Hopefully temporarily.

Matte black & lifeless as a painting of Mars with an aroma that’s about the same. Fleeting whiff of crushed strawberry then…nothing. An impressive feat for a 14% stout.

Henna – Coconut Double Rainbow is a Rorschach test upon which stout lovers can project their dreams. At first it’s muddled but as it warms, it opens up like the Vikings defense against any old running back. First impression is the maniacal thickness of a pastry stout coating everything within five feet before the actual ingredients check in. They’re balanced on the head of a mash paddle: coconut, cocoa, molasses, sweet vanilla with just a glimmer of fruitiness on the finish; any more likely would have ruined this delicate dance. Very slight alcohol burn.

Nothing unique about the additives but they meld together seamlessly. Excellent brew.

Intensely viscous glossy black with a short and slow to build mocha blanket quickly dispersing to a thin chain and sparse film.

From a distance, I immediately think they have to have used Frankenberry flavoring because wow, that aroma is wild. Coming in closer adds dark chocolate syrup with hints of slightly cloying coconut.

Affirming the appearance, it's viscously thick in feel too, where a little more roastiness presents as an almost coffee note, keeping it from being too sweet just before strawberry topping flavor comes pouring in to set it over the top. The exhale is coconut candy bar before coming back to Frankenberry. It slowly builds in sweetness after each sticky swallow.

I am not going to lie when I say that I haven't been a huge fan of most of the recent More stout releases and the last few Henna's that I have drank on draft have been pretty lackluster.

10oz Draft pour at the Huntley More Brewery.

This one is mostly coconut & chocolate bomb in the flavor. No strawberries; no vanilla notes, if they are there they are hard to pick up. Even though the adjuncts aren't all shining through, this is still a really tasty stout and I don't care that I do not taste the strawberry or vanilla.

Thick body; pretty close to motor oil. This is not boozy and this stout hides it's ABV impressively.

Glad to see Henna series stouts are tasting better, or at least this Henna is.

Shimmering black with virtually no head. The smell was the issue with the original for me, but here the coconut somehow magically fixed it? Because it is marvelous with all four of the coconut, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate all shining in the spotlight. Super full intensity all sniff long. Taste is the same, sneaky how deep it is, hides the high booze so well. Really impressed. Feel is thick but not too heavy, sweeter but never cloys or gets sugary feeling. Even the friend having it with who is down on More currently was blown away. The wife loved it
