On tap at Vintage Estate Wine and Beer.
Thick, sweet, and rich! Full on bourbon and vanilla, almond comes through, raisin.
This is our third HEAVY high abv offering, so.... With that in mind... By itself this offering is great, but after the other two, this is above average.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like almond paste, milk chocolate, roast, oak, caramel, bourbon, and a bit of vanilla.
This is definitely sludgy and pastry heavy, but doesn’t get quite so heavy enough to get fatiguing. The almond nuttiness and roastiness does help balance the sweetness here a bit – there’s lots of vanilla and sweet fudginess here, with a nice sort of boozy heat to it.
This is medium bodied, slightly sludgy, but not super boozy. There’s a lower level of carbonation.
This doesn’t extremely stand out amongst the very crowded pastry pack, but it was pretty tasty all the same.

Pitch black oily pour, no head. Great barrel in the nose: heaven hill sweetness, weller rustic tones and willet rye with the dark oak, almond, dark chocolate fudge, and malt meet with a hint of vanillins. Taste is mostly the same, some residual booziness and marzipan kiss the finish. Feel is silky smooth with boozy warmth mostly smoothly entering in through the middle of the sip, plenty thick and heavy, a sipper with a decent amount of refinement. This one will be remembered for home the almond and barrels waltzed in concert so well

**Updating draft rating from 9/23/23 with a bottle review, consumed on 2/11/24.
500 ml bottle into a snifter.
Pours near black and opaque, thick looking, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, almonds, chocolate, vanilla, some bourbon and rye, some oak. Smells lightly spicy. Flavors of bourbon, rye bourbon, almonds, chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, some oak. Has a somewhat spicy flavor when warmed. Smooth, fairly creamy, a solid full body, appropriately carbonated.
This one’s a winner. A prominent barrel presence, strong almond and chocolate, and a terrific thick and creamy mouthfeel. Really enjoyable.
