Aroma - it's definitely chewy, even on the aroma! So amazing! Thick with bourbon, of course, raisin, bready, molasses, fall spice.
Taste - ...and chewy on the taste! Wow is this puppy thick! The barrel-aged comes through amazingly, how could it not. Beautiful bourbon bite, dried cherries, raisin, sweet tobacco

500 ml bottle into a snifter. A 2023 release, had 6/28/24.
Pours near black and opaque, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of bourbon, oak, roasted malt, leather, raisin, some chocolate and vanilla, some prunes. Flavors of bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, leather, oak, vanilla, some raisin. Smooth, fairly creamy, thick, a solid full body, appropriately carbonated.
Barrel forward, thick and almost chewy, strong and distinct aromas and flavors. Truly delicious.

Brownish black opaque body, brown cap that settles into a ring. Smell is laced with great rustic barrel character with cocoa, roasted malt, vanilla, char, and molasses. Taste is led by rich barrel and roasted malt, caramel, chocolate fudge, black strap molasses, prune and tobacco. Lush and warm, lighter but thick, roast finishes with an appropriate amount of bite for the style. One of the best imperial porters I have ever had! Wish I had another bottle

On tap at the Bartlett, IL location
L: thick & syrupy, jet black body with a thin brown head
S: boozy bourbon, oak, dark cocoa, vanilla, caramel, toffee
T: bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, coffee, mild roast
F: thick & sticky body, very boozy, definitely a sipper; modest carbonation, sweet and boozy finish
O: definitely a treat to try this rarity! It was very good, but the smaller 5oz pour is key. A larger pour would be too much of a good thing.
