Roaming Elephant 2024 was aged for an average of 30 months in Eagle Rare 10 year, Parker’s Heritage 14 year, Elijah Craig 18 year and Elijah Craig 19 year barrels. Notes of caramel, smooth chocolate and dried dark fruit are complemented by robust barrel character and oak.

500 ml bottle into a tulip snifter. Had 6/30/25.
Pours a very dark ruby color, mostly opaque, with a brief quarter inch foamy head and some slick foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, vanilla as warms, some brown sugar and plum, some oak and char, light raisin and chocolate, a hint of cherry. Flavors of bourbon- strong, caramel, malt, some plum and oak, light brown sugar and raisin, light vanilla and chocolate. Smooth, a solid medium body, appropriately carbonated.
Seems like this gets better every year, it’s so aromatic and flavorful. It’s a little more boozy this time, but no less delicious. For me, this is certainly a top tier barleywine.

Dark brown opaque body with a tan caps Bourbon soaked raisin, toasty oak, cocoa, and earthy barley star, supporting blackstrap molasses, toffee, and anise. Smell is far simpler: barley, toffee, vanilla, barrel and raisin, in that order. Feel is thicker and moderately boozy, smooth.
