We took an exceptionally high gravity Mehndi base and filled Elijah Craig 20 year barrels. After resting for 20 months we transferred them into freshly dumped Jamaican Rum barrels for an additional 9 months.

Pitch black with brown edges, clean pour. Getting the rum then bourbon followed by oak, raisin, black strap molasses, dark chocolate, toasty earth, and vanillins in that order of intensity. Taste has the rum and bourbon barrels folding in notes of molasses, plum, raisin, lightly toasted caramel, and char. Feel is warm to the point that I would let it sit a bit in the cellar. Otherwise smooth, thick but not too heavy

The rum is a little strong and out of balance.
