A nicely drying porter.
It starts by Looking above average with a tan head and dark body and dangling lace. Smells are roasted malt mostly, though not distinguished. Tastes finish dry, indicating that the malt roasting made loading-up the hops unnecessary.
True to style.
Entering only their third year, Black Horizon's brewery and taproom is in an industrial park. A common business model. But they seem to be uncommonly thoughtful and have enough fun to keep going. A Willowbrook industrial park is not on my Bucket List, so I'll just have to wish them well.

Dark traditional malts, some coffee, chocolate, toasted toffee notes. Same with the nose. Dark brown/copper hue, semi clear, with tan head and delicate lace on taster glass. Medium body. Might need just a bit more time to mature. 15 IBUs
