Had on tap. I will attempt a review Beginner2! Clear golden body with a white cap and spotted lacing, that part was easy. Huge gin leads the nose with peach, lemon, refined yeast and oak. Taste is much the same, gin is just so strong but thankfully not in a hot booziness way, lemon comes up big here, stone fruit accents with oak, yeast and a kiss of phenols linger. Feel is doesn't reflect the barrel dominance as much however, still omnipresent but the lush yeast and delicate body are allowed to shine, carb could be a little higher to sell this feel more. Feel like a great beer is in here but is held back by a little too much gin

Bought from Beermiscuous, a great outlet for brewing invention in Chicagoland. And this brew is that.
Black Horizon is almost a five year old brewery. Whiskey Hill is a four year old. Because one of them is smarter than the other, they meet in first grade. They like each other. They say "Let's brew a beer together." They do. But it is different than anything done by humans: to brew a BSPA and put in a gin barrels. (Humans have done too much stuff; this included.)
Bottom-line: this is good collaboration experiment.
Second bottom-line: the gin flavors are too strong for me to give an accurate beer review. Who among you is up to the task?

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
