Named after the giant pelican of Aztec lore, Atotolin pretty much lives up to the bird's legend. It is a good lager and a welcome relief from Mexico's more accessible, but thinner and less flavourful, lagers.
Because Atotolin is clear early and cloudy later, I rate it slightly above average in Looks for its style. Smells are mostly sweet malt, probably caramel. While Tastes are slightly acidic in the attack, mid-palate re-balances with sufficient hops at 24 IBU that makes a smoother finish... not easy to do. Medium-mouthed. Sufficient bubbles to cleanse away the butter fat from French cooking. Paired well with three courses (none were dessert.)

Golden color with a thick thin head with decent retention.
Nice malty aroma with notes of biscuits, nuts, bread with butter with some honey and grassy and floral hops.
Flavor with notes of biscuit and bread malt, mild grass, distant orange citrusy and floral hops. Dry aftertaste with a low to medium bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Pale Lager with decent malt complexity. The nose reminded me of a Marzen and mouth was plain but pleasant.
