Sometimes called Polish Champagne, this delicately smoked wheat beer has a bright straw color with a smokey, cereal aroma. Refreshing and light for these warm summer days

Thanks to russpowell for sending this.
Pours a beautiful straw to gold in color. A very generous, fluffy head asserts three fingers in height necessitating a slowing down of the pour. Solid retention with delicate lacing.
The nose starts off with an enticing blend of smoke and wheat grain. The smoke is firm but nuanced, reminding me of smoked turkey. It really comes off as a "natural" smoke and not one dimensional. The grain is mildly sweet with a crackery note.
Flavor follows the nose. Again, the smoke is the star but shares a bit more of the spotlight with the grain here. A really balanced approach allowing both aspects to really contribute. Subtle grassy and herbal notes chime in as supporting cast.
Mouthfeel is light, almost crisp, and carbonation active.
This is great. I would love to hit this with a charcuterie plate of smoked meets and cheeses with some figs for sweet contrast.

Pours a bubbly & chill-hazed gold with a pinky of beige head. Drops bright, better than average head retention & lacing
S: Some smokeyness, a little bit of grain
T: Beechwood smoke, some dryness, a trace of grassyness & light breadyness & just a hint of white grape up front. Slight grainy sweetness, a little dryness mixes in with the smoke & more white grape notes once this beer is warm. Finishes smokey with a little grainy sweetness & some dryness
MF: Light body, Champagne like carbonation
Superb drinkability, lovely take on style. Had this on draft as well, seems better in the can, but I was just blitzing through flights there
