Copenhagen 27/3 2021. 33 cl chubby bottle with a red cap from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Orange label with a lot of partially redacted text trying to convey the impression that I am not dealing with a traditional Belgian beer. And a heartening quote about freedom and herpes.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden amber with a small white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with sweet pear and alcohol. Earthy yeast. Bread and corn. Sharp sour grains. Citrus. Humid cellar.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is bitter but a bit thin. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Not that untraditional. But a decent dry Saison.

33cl bottle, dark glassm served in a bulb around 6 degrees celcius
Malt, rye, sugar, corn hopps yeast and water.
Pours a 2 finger white head, micro bubble crabonation, creamy hazy, dark-yellow apperance.
Smells are quite remarkable, bit of water melon, some floral notes with some licorice.
Mouthfeel, full, balanced, little bit of sour pleasant bitter.
Very interesting taste, follows smell.

I had this on draft 6/3/24 @ the Hopleaf.
Cloudy orange appearance.
Small bright white head; minimal lacing remained.
Lemon, wheat & tart strawberry notes in the nose.
Medium thin, effervescent mouthfeel.
Lemon & wheat flavors up front; faint berry notes on the finish.
Slight but delightful; I could drink a bucket of this.

Verbeek-Back-De Cock Brewery "Kerel Saison"
11.2 fl. oz. brown glass bottle coded "21 68 11:15:401". Sampled on 5 May 2024
$5.99 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: A hazy deep golden/amber colored body is capped by a short head of white foam. Plenty of bubbles can be seen rising within. In the nose I'm finding sweetish and bready malt, orange, apple, pear, and distant banana. The flavor follows with some added golden caramel and a touch of floral, grassy, and lightly spicy hops. It's moderately bitter, somewhere around 25 IBUs, and yet still dry with some spiciness, orange, and mild grassiness and floral character lingering as the malt fades. It's interesting and refreshing. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. Holding the glass to the light I can clearly see particulate in suspension and can therefore only assume that it's unfiltered. The head didn't hold up very well, thus there's not a lot of lacing going on, and along with the haziness I can't really give it good marks for appearance. I do like it though, and I'd certainly buy it again although the price does seem a bit high for what you're getting in the end.

11.2 oz bottle into a tulip glass.
L: SRM 4 Pours lightly yeasty caramel color with a fizzy thin off-white cola-like head, VG steady carbo bubbles, head recedes to edge foam quickly then regains life from the carbo and becomes a thick creamy skin, light sediment in suspension, light random lacing.
S: Noble hops, caramelized malts, lightly fruity, distant farm funk, light background banana bread.
T: Floral hops, gently fruity, light citrus, distant banana, a hint of coriander & nutmeg, lemongrass, a light note of hay. It has a light citrus aftertaste.
F: Very brisk and zippy medium bodied feel with a medium-fast moderately drying finish.
O: A very good tasting and mellow feeling Saison that hits all the marks. I'm enjoying its hop notes and lightly fruity finish. Not as dry as many others in the style. It is very easy to drink and is very good in its style.

De Belgiuminabox. En copa Teku. Estudiando. Correcta, con bastante cuerpo y presencia de la malta, aunque echándose en falta algo más de intensidad en las notas funky propias del estilo

A 330ml bottle, brew 1823, with a best before date of 27th March 2021. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark golden colour with a just over one finger white head that had good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Sweet malt, yeast, coriander, banana, bread and slight pepper.
Taste: Flavours were a little weak. Sweet malt, yeast, banana, light herbal, watery.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with soft to moderate carbonation.
Overall: Flavours were quite light and watery while carbonation and pepper spice was not strong enough. But I did like the unique bottle shape.

Nice hoppy and dry beer with floral tastes? Nice beer!
Lots of different smells when sniffing. Dry mouth and floral aftertaste. New but noteworthy beer.
