Can to snifter.
Stupendous.
Coffee is super tasty, while not bittering. Coconut adds just a hint of sweetness. Bourbon, cocoa, vanilla, barley, wood, touch of plum. Red wine.
Super thick and syrupy, with a short lived caramelly foamy head. Heavy heavy body. Sticky.

The extra barrel and abv is apparent here. It's not hot for me, but there's a definite difference here between this and regular. I'm also getting a lot more coffee than coconut which is different. It's a beautiful looking stout with minimal head that remains after the pour. The consistency is super thick, which I love. I would say it's a tad sweet. I guess that would be expected, but HA is good about the balance on that usually. I'd prefer an 8oz can if they could sell it that way. The adjuncts come together beautifully here though, and the extra barrel makes it worth the extra price. Overall a great beer.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells super strongly of coffee – sometimes Benthic leans more towards coconut, but this is a coffee bomb. The coconut is definitely still on the nose though, with a good hit of barrel char as well.
You have to like coffee to like this one, but luckily I very much enjoy coffee flavors in beer. It’s vibrant, punchy, chocolatey, and roasty, and tempered decently well by the sweet coconut. The barrel dials up the roast, char, and oakiness.
This is medium bodied, decently thick, with very little booziness. It’s a slow sipper due to the intensity of flavors.
This series is pretty much always gonna make me happy.

Tar black with a fluffy dark tan head retaining as a wobbly muffintop blanket.
The apple brandy is distinct right up front, yet somehow not hot, accenting the cinnamon well while also defining the base in a way unlike the OG.
This is a whole new, far more mature beer.
