One of the more unique beers of this young year, fun! Mostly clear brownish red body, no head, appears to have decent viscosity. Smell invokes the beach drink vibes: rum and spon elements amplify each other in an uplifting way, oak, a touch of molasses, big cherry, paw paw, papaya, with hints of coconut and vanilla. Lots going on in the taste too, rum and spon continuing to grab my attention in a rewarding way, bourbon has more of a presence behind them, vanilla too. Cherry and vanilla round out with the oak. Feel is thicker than expected, almost like grenadine, booze is present but not overkill, very smooth all together. A fascinating beer!
