This pour is used oil black with a dark chocolate color head that strives to reach a centimeter in height but fails. No lacing to speak of, but I really appreciated the dark chocolate head.
The aroma was actually noticeable for me, which is rare. Mostly vanilla bean is what I got and it was nice.
The taste is full on imperial stout with its chocolate notes and coffee flavors, toasted bread and worn leather. Vanilla enters the picture and trades places with the bourbon off and on. If I could taste the candy cap mushrooms I wasn’t aware.
The feel is nicely viscous; this is a sipping beer.
OA, this was a gift and I enjoyed it, sorry I couldn’t taste the mushrooms.
