An India Pale Ale we brewed with coastal spirit. This hop crasher sharply dives into the very deep waters of bitter beers.

Very nice flavor and a pretty low IBU for an IPA. Is this the mid-west style? It had quite a bit of carbonation and appeared to be at least somewhat unfiltered. The bottom line was that it was good and I would drink it, happily, again.

Can dated 7-3-24. DFH Tulip.
A: pours an ever so slightly hazed pale yellow with one finger of bright white head that lasts and lasts. Little visible carbonation, but tiny dots of material in suspension.
S: instant fruit aroma. Stone fruit; peaches; citrusy and sweet. Like peeled mandarins in light syrup.
T: much like the palate, an immediate hit of fruity goodness, but not too sweet. Dry and hoppy; like a hazy IPA but without the haze. Has a very new age hoppy feeling. Says 68 IBU but tastes like 45. Lingering pithy bitterness; like a lemon rind. Perhaps some of what I’m tasting on the finish is alcohol, but it is hard to tell.
M: this is where this beer really shines. So light, so crisp. I can hardly believe this is 6.7%. It’s magic in that it doesn’t feel watery, but is so light on the palate. Reminds me of Pliny the Elder in terms of texture, though the taste is totally different.
O: a very light, very crisp IPA. Dangerously drinkable and pretty in the glass. Nice for a changeup, but I’m a bit of a traditionalist. I just like that old school IPA flavor more.

What really stands out about this beer is the fresh, lemony aroma. Pleasant but not too florid. Taste is crisp and fresh with a nice hop kick on the back end. Just the right amount of carbonation. Not the most dank West Coast ipa, but a well-balanced, top-tier example.

Poured a golden, orange body with minimal head and not much lace. Aroma had notes that were like a mild, tropical and spicy fruitiness that reminded me of a papaya at one point. Beer tastes mostly like it smells, is balanced, medium-bodied, and has a moderately dry finish.

Can dated 6/21:
Nearly opaque yellow golden body with a big tuft of white foam top it. Nose takes a little while to open up and show a hint of tropical fruit inside a melange of citrus fruit peel. There's a hint of bubblegum and the last embers of joint popping in and out. Taste starts a bit lighter than expected from the look, with the malts not providing a lot to grab hold of. A hit of tropical tang meets tangerine up front, a more typical grapefruit pith ending with a nice, bitter linger.
