A classic, fermented on Saison Dupont yeast. Brewed to quell the thirst caused by the bright thing in the sky, nice and easy at 5.75% ABV.

On-tap at the Tap Room in a 5oz taster, and then again from a 32oz growler provided by Chris (spycow).
A - White foam settles to a partial cap, thick collar, and splotches of lacework. Mostly transparent straw body.
S - Lemony and floral noble hopping, lightly peppery Belgian yeast, under ripe stone fruits, cereal grains, a slightly dirty phenolic note.
T - Taste is slightly sweeter, with more pale malt and under ripe stone fruit character. Some mild lemony tang, either from hops or yeast; not sure which. There's a slightly smoked, savory, yeast note that I've also picked up from recent De Proef and Fantôme offerings.
M - Active moderate carbonation, grainy texture, but not overly harsh. Dry and crisp, with little lingering stickiness. Medium-light in body, with no alcohol.
D - I'm not generally a fan of Half Acre's saisons, but this is one of the better ones. The smoked note is a bit odd, but otherwise this is a serviceable, easy-drinking saison. Might have this one again as a change of pace beer.
