On-tap at Half Acre. Had this a few times, always in 5oz tasters.

A - White foam settles to a wispy, partial cap, thick collar, and splotchy lace. Lightly hazed amber body.

S - Earthy, English hops, with some biscuit and bready malts, and light, nebulous fruitiness.

T - The taste has more sweetness, with a emphasis on toffee as well as light biscuit and toasted grain flavors. I appreciate that the biscuit flavor isn't buttery here, as that's often the case in English-style ales. Surprising bitterness that seems high for the style, and not a ton of hop flavor.

M - Medium body, dry, crackery texture, and a crisp, finish, with mild lingering hop resins on the palate. Moderate carbonation, and no obvious alcohol.

D - A solid English ale that manages to avoid a number of elements that I don't care for in the style (diacetyl, 'vomit'-esque hops, overly fruity yeast). Nice balance of flavors, easy to drink, but largely forgettable.
