Turbid dull orange with a short head of soft white foam dying to a curled, fuzzy collar.

Lovely oak, effervescent, funky cheese, mild but vinous white grape.

glorious beer, courtesy of my good homie, legend, who somehow gets so many of these floodland beers, what a treat to get to drink this one, a standout in a very beery session and honestly one of my favorite white wine grape beers i can recall, so refined, yeast driven, and complex, i loved every drop and am fully in on floodland now. real pale, whitewashed looking straw colored under a short but lasting naturally conditioned looking white head, relatively little density for its abv, and relatively little apparent residual sugar for being packed with all this riesling, way cool. the nose is insanely funky, has to be some wild yeast from the grapes rising up in this, some bretty funk too but its soft to me, young to some extent, and with a subtle white peppery and pear ester, saison-esque, very little tartness but some light citrus to it all. the fruit is floral and gentle and springy, sweet still a bit to me, and with some grassy greenness in the mix as well. a new oak richness, a raw wheaty type base, and all the complexity in the world, just a little bit of warming alcohol making everything pop. the grapes are amazing in the flavor, at least as forward as any grain in this, which stays real pale and earthy and out of the way, pear and white peach notes, elderflower and vanilla, feminine to me despite its strength, just woody enough, subtle tang but more funky than sour by a mile, the brett is complex and wild and different to me, the ferment is fruity right along with the grapes, and i get thins like overripe honewdew and tangy kiwi fruit. super exotic, high quality, and distinctive, memorable even. truly fantastic, not as boozy as it seems like it would have to be, very vinous, sensational.
