Poured from 12oz can packaged 8 months ago, dang.
L: An appealing dusty gold pour, only slightly hazy but still transparent. A generous off-white head forms, retaining ~1min. The light cloudiness has me curious.
S: Earthy, light crystal malts, not hop forward. Easy and balanced, unaggressive. Almost undetectable notes of citrus, nevertheless present.
T: Bready like a Pilsner, almost zero bitterness. Palate is short-lived and only on center of tongue. A malty, unflavored aftertaste remains a while.
F: It is very clean and unassuming. Again, no bitterness an very low carbonation. Simple, nothing additional.
After consideration, EL Sonido is an unremarkable lager to throw back. It goes down smooth and easy, with minimal flavor to contemplate. It is not bad, but is just too basic. It is called "Mexican Style" but that may be only a call out to the can art, there is nothing eye-catching in this can.

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned on 6/21/20.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a very light touch of haze and a thin finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Not at all bad.
Smell: a fairly corny aroma with a bit of a yeasty character as well. Relatively sweet with minimal hopping; not too bad for the style.
Taste: much like the aroma; sweet and malty, although a bit less corny than in the smell. There's not a lot of complexity here, but it's perfectly serviceable.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation and a pretty good creaminess.
Overall: I'm not so sure about "Mexican" lager, but this is a pretty decent American-style adjunct lager.

From the 12 ounce can stamped as April 3, 2020. Sampled June 21, 2020.
It pours golden yellow with a fairly lingering white head.
The aroma emits a biscuit and floral character but nothing extraordinary.
Light body.
The taste is sweet and floral. Really pretty basic and straight forward. Clean finish.

19.2 oz can from Plaid Pantry in West Salem OR
$1.75
Typical gold lager colored body with a thin bubbly off white head. Has lace and some nice carbonation strings.
Aroma is mainly light bready malts with some floral hops present.
Taste well balanced..mainly soft maltiness to start then a rasp of the floral hop in the end.
Nice mouth feel for the style. Well carbonated with a slight dry finish.
Overall a nice little lager
