this one is way off the mark, the only true miss we had in here after tasting through most of their lineup, this just isnt good at all, and its not even because its more of a belgian blonde or single than it is any sort of farmhouse type ale, but because it simply doest taste good. for one, its watery as can be, thin and overly simple, i can hardly appreciate any wheat malt in here at all. the only yeast character i get sort of tastes like dishwasher detergent and grass clippings, chemical and weird, like there was some sanitizer that didnt make it out of the fermenter before it was filled. not sure thats what happened here, but its a flaw that significant, at least in the batch they had on when we were there. with how technically solid and historically and stylistically accurate all the other beers we had in here were, i know this guy knows better than to assume people will let this pass as a saison. it should have been dumped to be quite frank. a serious disappointment, but i am sure future batches will improve. how can they not?!
