Brewed with an array of expressive dark malts and coffee beans. This is a very bold but smooth stout. We taste freshly cracked coffee beans, dark cocoa powder, buttered pecans, and dark fruits.

This is your ideal coffee stout. It truly deserves a very high rating. Wonderful nose - what you want to smell first thing in the morning. Plenty of coffee in the taste without blowing away the palette. Not too bitter. No silly adjuncts. Nice medium mouthfeel, it is not a crusher but it does drink below its abv. Highly recommended for fellow coffee stout enthusiasts.

Simply stated, this is a great coffee stout. I've had it at the brewery numerous times, and I've taken it home in growlers. It pours a deep, dark black with 1-2 fingers of cinnamon-colored foam which tends to dissipate rather quickly. The aroma is strong, satisfying coffee with rich notes of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste follows the nose, that is to say rich and satisfying. Feel is exactly what you would expect for a stout in this ABV range. The relatively low ABV makes this something you can enjoy every day. Overall, it's a near-perfect example of the style. Terrific beer from a great brewery.

Hershey's dark syrup x black eye depth of noire. Foamy, cinnamon-khaki cap. Light roast coffee aroma, pure clover honey, cocoa powder, bittersweet chocolate morsels. Tasting notes of stone fruit, cocoa dusted black cherry cordials, hazelnut, baker's chocolate, and lingering walnut astringency. Med-light roast coffee character with creamy body, minimal residual sweetness; and, a low-moderate carbonation. If you like coffee and carbonation, you may love this one. This has the carbonation of a Manhattan special, but with more depth and non-zero amount of sweetness. If not inherently extraordinary then astoundingly comforting and familiar; it reminds me of that commercial of people drinking Folger's on a snowy morning.

Pours dark, real dark, dark mocha cap that leaves fine low sheeting and nice looking strands of lacing.
Enticing nose filled with dark chocolate and the advertised coffee, rich dark chocolate.
This stout is richly flavorful, wonderfully complex and overall quite enjoyable and tasty...waves of more dark chocolate, some vanilla, and dark coffee abounding. Mighty fine stuff and this one leaves me wanting to try more beers from this small and fairly new brewery.
Go get some of this nectar and enjoy.
