Stopped by The 'Head today for some libations. Had a 4oz, then a 6oz serving of this, for $7.00 total.
Poured a clear, rich, medium chestnut color. Had light carbo, a thin, light beige head, and decent lace. Aroma has lots of caramel, toffee, brown bread and brown sugar. It had a medium body, with a nice smoothness on the tongue.
Flavor picked up where the nose left off... caramel and toffee maltyness.... a touch of molasses, brown sugar... yes! Lingered nicely.... Cheers!!

From a flight at the brewery. Aroma is very distinct with scent of high alcohol presence. Taste, as perhaps expected, of scotch/rum. Almost like taking a slightly reduced shot. I find the taste and distinctiveness to be enhanced by sipping this brew after having had other brews in between or water. Potent, but not unpleasantly so. I think a pint of this could be more than I could handle at one go. A nice change from the usual IPA fare.

Poured on draft into a 8 oz tulip glass. Pours a very attractive mahogany, with a one inch head that leaves a little lace behind.
Smell is peat, caramel, toffee, smoke, and a little oak.
Taste follows peat, caramel, smoke, toffee, and maybe some oaky vanilla.
Mouthfeel a big medium, gentle carbonation, not really dry, and at 10% ABV extremely approachable with no real alcohol detectected.
Overall if I had a complaint, it would be a little undercarbonated, but rock solid in every other aspect.
