Poured on draft at the brewery into a 8 oz tulip wine shaped glass. Pours brown with a nice 1 plus finger khaki head, that leaves a little lace behind along with some bubbles.
Smell is Rum, candied sugar, smoked peat, caramel, toffee, and a the smallest hint of alcohol, but it is present.
Taste follows Rum, brown sugar, peat, toffee, caramel, and a small amount of alcohol tickles the palate.
Mouthfeel is a little bigger than medium, plenty of life for its girth, maybe a tad dry as you would expect, and goes down rather easy for its massive ABV and for what it is.
Overall I am digging this, I had it when it for got tapped and it was lacking a little life and it made the body seem thinner, but right now this stuff has matured and I am very happy I gave it another go, because this is a rock solid brew.
