From a 32 oz. crowler obtained at the brewery on Aug 6, 2020. sampled on Aug 10, 2020.
The pour is a handsome looking dark brown to black with a quickly fading tan head.
Pungent aromas of dark roasted chocolate, lactose, a musty cellar, and a floral hint
Smooth light-medium mouthfeel.
The taste is also sweet chocolate with a kind mild bitterness and dry finish.

Poured on draft into a 16 oz can shaped pint glass on Nitro. Pours a near pitch black with a massive 2 finger head that leaves plenty of thick walls of lace behind, as it slowly settles into a thick layer of tan bubbles.
Smell is cocoa nibs, coffee, vanilla, grain, biscuit, and some toffee.
Taste follows cocoa, vanilla, coffee, grain, biscuit, and toffee.
Mouthfeel is a creamy medium, no real carbonation as it is on Nitro, dry as it is brewed that way, and goes down insanely easy.
Overall this was brewed for St. Patrick’s day and I would take this over Guinness any day of the week. This for a style that isn’t really my favorite is excellent.
