This is the first of our one hop series session ale. We used only Medusa hops which gives the beer notes of lime, mint and tea leaves. The ABV is kept low to keep the drinkability up. light and refreshing.

Pint can>Treehouse long stemmed pass

This one is not just hazy, its downright murky. A strange dirty, brown-hued golden color with yellow highlights. Pretty big carbonation here, very lively with a light and Lacy foam cover. Minimal lace is left after a bit with only a trace of coverage left.

The aroma coming from the Medusa hop is very strange, although also interesting. Reminds me of Earl Gray tea, mint leaves, margarita and sweet lime, mango and citrus. Unique and odd!

A rather light and airy mouthfeel, a bit thin skinned withbjazzy carbonation and a watery/juicy finish.

This hop tastes nothing like it smells! I get: Tart golden wheat, sweet tarts candy and mild citrus. Not getting any of the "dry hopped" effect, the complexity seems a little low as the hop taste starts to pop but quickly stops.

The lower abv.% makes it sessionable, but the thin body and lighter flavor holds it back. This might be the first time I've had just Medusa hops, and I find it to be very strange and unique. I think Kettehead could get more from this hop, overall a bit thin in feel and flavor for the APA Style. I love it when only one hop is used to showcase exactly what it offers in all aspects. Hopefully the next Soul Hop can bring some serious flavor.

Poured on draft brand spanking new at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow like a glass of pineapple juice, with a solid finger plus head that slowly settles leaving plenty of thin wisps of lace.

Smell is passionfruit , pineapple, mandarin orange, and just a little grapefruit rind.

Taste follows tropical front to back passionfruit for is dominant, with a little grapefruit bitterness maybe slightly herbal.

Mouthfeel is bigger than 5.3% ABV, plenty life but slightly soft, it dry but a tad sticky from the crazy amount hops, and goes down extremely easy, but a ton of flavor.

Overall this is a great APA that I can’t wait to crush on a hot day.
