Poured into a 16 Hop Slam glass canned last week. Pours a amber mahogany with a solid finger off white head that leaves loads of off white head behind as it slowly settles into a thick layer of foam, leaving gobs of lace behind. 4
Smell is apricot, Oakes vanilla, brown sugar, orange peel, and some hints bourbon. 4
Taste follows oak, vanilla, apricot, start with tangerine, brown sugar, and a little shot of bourbon in the rather smooth finish. 4
Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, soft gentle carbonation, a tad dry, and drinks easy enough at 8.9%. 4
Overall this is a nice BA DIPA not over the top, with plenty of nice flavors in the mix. 4
