(VEEK)TOR 3.0 says 10.5% and aged in Maple Bourbon Barrels. Pours a thick near pitch black with a half finger dark khaki head that leaves thin streaks of lace yielding excellent retention. 4.25
Smell is maple, dark chocolate, vanilla beans, roasty coffee grounds, pipe tobacco, and a little woody oak. 4.5
Taste follows maple is definetly the star of this show, oaked vanilla, deep dark chocolate, roasty coffee, some char, and a subtle hit of bourbon. 4.5
Mouthfeel is big and full and chewy, gentle carbonation but not flat, a touch dry as you would expect, and a 10.5% it drinks bigger but still extremely approachable. 4.75
Overall this is the best of the 3 in the series, would give many of the great BA Stouts a run for its money. Excellent stuff. 4.5
