Sweet orange, nectarine, mango and tropical fruit. Herbaceous with a liquid coconut finish. A super unique IPA that is from another galaxy, a galaxy where wolves wear purple cashmere sweaters.

Middle of the road of the many NEIPAs from this prolific local brewer for me.
All the now-iconic Kettlehead characteristics are present - turbid, juicy, low-bitterness, smooth mouthfeel, clean finish. Very enjoyable.

Received from @SawDog505. Tannish orange, muddy appearance, frothy fluffy head and lacing. I usually like beers with that dirty appearance. Smell is guava, tangerine, pineapple, a bit malty. Taste isn’t as strong as the smell but follows with the same flavors as the smell. A bit tangy, a bit dank, a bit sweet. Medium to big bodied, creamy, full feel. Tasty.

Many thanks to @SawDog505 for this can!

A - Dark and opaque orange tan color with thin dense lacing.

S - Apricot, mango, and some pineapple with a hint of vanilla and subtle spicy tropical citric acid hits the nose.

T - Follows the nose to a "T". Juicy apricot, mango, some pineapple, and light lime. A little herbally and ends balanced and on the sweet side.

M - Big chewy, medium body that coats the mouth with a nice layer of juicy hops.

O - Rock solid and recommended.

Got in a trade with SawDog505. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, coconut, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, coconut, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, coconut, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel, and not aggressive. Awesome Galaxy, Cashmere profile. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.

So it is late Friday afternoon and I am touching off Kettlehead Brewing newest NEIPA 7.5% ABV. Pours a very hazy yellow like a glass of pineapple orange juice with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves loads of lace as slowly settles yielding excellent retention. 4.5

Smell is guava, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, and just a hint of coconut really balanced and enticing. 4.5

Taste is a different coconut is much more dominant, pineapple, tangerine, guava, and maybe a little honey dew. 4.75

Mouthfeel is a big medium, not dry but slightly sticky from all the fresh hops, gentle soft on the palate, and at 7.5% ABV the drinkability is off the charts. 5

Overall you have once again out done yourselves KH this is just a treat that makes me crave the hot summer days ahead. 4.5 Also the name is for the hops used. Galaxy, something Wolf, and Cashmere. Stuff is tight as heck!
