Kettlehead ESOTERIC is a Sour IPA that pours a very attractive ruby red with a 2 finger off white head, with some pinkish hues that settles rather quickly leaving behind thin patches webs of lace. 4.25
ESOTERIC starts with cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, grapefruit, and plum 4.
ESOTERIC for without a doubt much more of a sour than IPA, really bitter cranberry, raspberry, grapefruit, and plum leaves your palate feeling slightly violated and maybe a tad vexed. 4
ESOTERIC about medium, plenty of prickly carbonation, lip smackingly dry, and at 6.5% huge on flavor. 4
Overall ESOTERIC is not a style I seek out, but this is rock solid and makes me appreciate the style. I would have preferred more IPA than sour, but I will drink the next with a NEDIPA as a half and half. Nice work as always Kettlehead. 4
