Lupulin Milkshake With Pineapple & Mango

16oz can - no date, purchased from the brewery 9-21-19. Opened 10-7-19.
Opaque orange-yellow with a 1"+ white head hanging over the rim of the glass. Good retention at 1/2", solid. Early lacing.
Big nose of pineapple and mango, as advertised for sure.
Ripe fruit, tropical and citrus...a zingy citric acid fresh fruit brings. Tropical fruit and citrus-y hops, not sure what hops are in here but that's my perception of where the citrus flavor is coming from. All tastes real, not artificial or gimmicky.
The mouthfeel is full and creamy, low to medium carbonation. Tasty fruit filled and surprisingly dry (not sugary sweet) finish.
Zero alcohol detected at 7%.
Very good, had some good and some bad "milkshake" IPA's -- this is one of the best I've had.

 

Poured into a 13 oz Kettlehead Snulip glass canned 9/12. Pours a very hazy dark yellow with a 2 plus finger head on a very aggressive pour and very attractive thick streaks of lace that settle rather slow. 4.5

Smell this is a very unique NEIPA brewed with mango, pineapple, and milk sugar. Immediately the pineapple and mango step up and let you know they are hosting the party, with tangerine and vanilla coming in late and taking over, with a slight sweetness, but really pretty well balanced for this style. 4

Taste follows really mango may be the most dominant, pineapple, tangerine, and vanilla really solid, but very different than most. 4

Mouthfeel is big and slightly creamy for the ABV, soft gentle carbonation, sticky but not dry, and at 7% ABV easy drinking, but packed with flavor. 4.5

Overall this is excellent, I love berry milk shake beers, but was a little hesitant about this one and I am glad it really exceeded my expectations and then some. 4.25
