Kettlehead Brewing newest Imperial Stout. Canned on 6/29/2020. Pours midnight black on a cloudy Fall evening, with a finger plus mocha head that leaves a few thin lines of lace. 4.5
Smell is cocoa nibs, banana, toffee, caramel, and vanilla. 4.25
Taste follows milk chocolate, banana, toffee, caramel, and a hint of vanilla but really about the chocolate and banana. 4.25
Mouthfeel is above medium, soft carbonation, a touch dry, and at 10.2% ABV goes down rather easy. 4.25
Overall obviously I am a huge fan of this place, my home away from home and am so happy the chocolate stood out more than the banana. I will say the small pour from the brewery have it more life than the can and made it even more thick and complex, but this is a nice Imperial Milk Stout. 4.25
