Perhaps my palate is not quite right today, as Rover is a top 3 fave of mine from these folks and pulpy is no slouch. This indeed hits different. Hmm. I'm not getting all the Galaxy love from Rover that I expected and this feels and looks a bit flat. Perhaps it's not as fresh as could be. Would try again to re-evaluate.

From a 16oz can, dated 09/09/20 if the sticker on the ring-holder is to be believed. Served in a 13oz tulip. Note that Kettlehead’s taplist states abv at 8.5% while the can lays claim to only 8%... for all that it matters.
Pours a heavily hazed and thoroughly opaque pulp-free orange juice sort of colour with a scant half-finger of fizzy head. Retention is poor, leaving a feeble little collar and no lacing to speak of... in other words, it looks like a fairly typical and unremarkable NEDIPA.
Aroma is sharp and yeasty, strong candy-like citrus character, tangerine and lime.
Tastes roughly in line with what the nose led me to expect but muted. Neither sweet nor particularly bitter, more of a base, baking soda-like bite. Resinous, with pineapple, tangerine, hard candies and lime. There was an occasional note of cooked vegetables and booze that came and went but I couldn’t pin it down, it didn’t significantly detract from my enjoyment, and I probably shouldn’t even have mentioned it but, hey, there you go.
Feel is clean, bright and juicy, medium bodied, well carbonated and exceptionally easy drinking.
Overall, by and large the write-up doesn’t sound kind but it is, in fact, an enjoyable beer.

Poured into a 20 oz barrel shaped stein on the draft and just released today. Pours a very hazy dark yellow with a solid finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace with excellent retention. 5
Smell ripe melon, papaya, tangerine, passionfruit, apricot, and a little grapefruit rind. 4.5
Taste follows cantaloupe, papaya, passionfruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, and again a little hint of grapefruit in really well balanced finish. 4.5
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, not really sticky or dry, soft gentle carbonation, and at 8.5% loaded with flavor, but easy going down. 4.75
Overall this is 2 of KH best beers brewed with the same hops and malts, I like it better than Q, but not as much as Dreamstate. Excellent sauce. 4.5
