Enjoying a 16oz can ( and perhaps 2) out in The 'Zebo on a breezy Saturday afternoon.... Picked these cans about 6 weeks ago at Kettlehead.
Poured into a sniftah, it's a mostly clear but dark chestnut color. Has minimal carbo, and a thin, fine, creamy light beige head. The foam is mostly at the rim. with decent lace. Aroma is solidly malty, with caramel and toffee, plus light coconut and bourbon. It is very smooth and silky on the tongue, with a medium to medium-plus body.
Taste has many of the same characteristics as the nose ... toffee, caramel, subtle coconut, some vanilla and brown bread, plus hints of bourbon lurking in the shadows.... Yet another solid, tasty brew from Kettlehead.... Prosit!!

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned on 3/15/21. Pours a gorgeous mahogany with a finger sticky off white head that leaves thin streaks of lace with awesome retention. 4.75
Aroma is oaked vanilla, peat, caramel, toffee, and a little hint of bourbon. 4.25
Taste follows woody vanilla, caramel, toffee, peat, and just a gentle hit of bourbon in the smooth balanced finish. 4.5
Mouthfeel is pretty big, soft gentle carbonation, not dry, and at 9.6% easy drinking. 4.5
Overall this is a really nice barrel aged Scotch Ale that is drinking really well fresh. Very impressed with this one. 4.5
