Not a great alt, and I have low expectations for anything aside from NEIPA from this brewer, but will continue to try them all as this is a style I really dig.

From a 16oz can, undated. Purchased at the brewery 06/17/21. Served in a really cool stemmed stange-like sort of glass I bought at Schilling yesterday.
Pours a dark, oaky brown, darker than cola, with a big, nearly uncontainable soft, lathery head. Retention is quite good, leaving a complex webbery of sudsy lacing.
Aroma is soft, warm and mildly roasty. Chocolate, custard, bread roll.
Taste is in line with the nose. Warm, toasted malt with minimal roasty bitterness. Smooth and mellow, chocolate-y, pots d’creme, very slight tannic quality on the back end.
Feel is clean at the beginning but with a cola-like slickness building on the palate. Medium bodied but with bright, tingly carbonation making it feel lighter. Can I confess something? It tasted so good that I couldn’t stop myself and drank it too fast to really think much about the mouthfeel.
Overall, this is a terrific beer! I’m not really sure how many altbiers I’ve had - I’ll have to check - or how true-to-style this one may be - my experience has been that Kettlehead isn’t super-concerned with adhering to anybody’s idea of style guidelines. I don’t care. This was delicious. I could drink it every day.
