16 oz can.
Pours a lightly hazy copper color with a small khaki head. Low retention. Leaves a crown of cobweb lacing around the glass.
Aromas of brown bread, fresh biscuits, toffee, brown sugar, and caramel. Faint hops lingering.
Taste is surprisingly citrusy. Notes of lemon and grapefruit, followed by caramel, sweet biscuits, fig, brown bread, brown sugar and a hint of spicy hops on the finish.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth. A little syrupy.
Overall, this was an enjoyable beer. Nicely balanced and surprisingly easy to drink. Worth a try, at least.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned 12/14/21. Pours a very attractive slightly cloudy amber with a finger plus sticky off white head that leaves some thin streaks of lace, with excellent retention. 4.5
Aroma is caramel, toffee, brown sugar, biscuit, pine, and a little grapefruit. 4.25
Taste follows caramel, toffee, brown sugar, biscuit, pine, and a little grapefruit in the balanced finish. 4.25
Mouthfeel is above average, plenty of life, maybe a little dry, and at 8.1% it goes down plenty easy, but easy to sip and let the flavors come out. 4.5
Overall this is a treat, an Imperial Red Lager from Kettlehead I am very impressed with this one. 4.25
